Description

Powerful Thermal Capabilities

The Axion 2 XQ35 Pro features an extremely sensitive, European-made 384×288, 17µm, <25 mK NETD Lynred thermal sensor and an incredibly powerful 35mm f1.0 fast aperture germanium objective lens to produce high-resolution thermal imagery at distances reaching up to 1300m. This device will easily detect an animals heat signature in adverse weather conditions — such as heavy rain, thick fog, or in environments with high levels of humidity. It will even work effectively through small gaps in dense foliage.

Enhanced Image Processing

Pulsar’s proprietary image processing algorithms provide high quality rendering of both observed objects and background. Three available levels of signal amplification, combined with a connected smoothing filter and fine brightness and contrast adjustments, provide the user with greater opportunities in terms of long-range detection of an animal and its extremities under a variety of different weather and temperature conditions.

Variable Magnification

The Axion 2 XQ35 Pro’s base magnification will increase fourfold from 2.0x-8.0x via a smooth digital zoom that can change in 2x steps or continuously, allowing the user to set their ideal magnification and visible field of view to suit any situation.

HD AMOLED Display

Crystal clear, well-defined thermal imagery is presented onto a high-contrast 640×400 HD AMOLED display. This display achieves better colour rendering, power saving characteristics, and a much sharper and smoother picture — even in frosty conditions.

Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Mode

Picture in Picture (PiP) mode allows the user to display a zoomed in zeroing frame at the top of the display, in which the observation area can be magnified by x2 or x4, whilst simultaneously retaining visual control over the entire field of view.

Lightweight & Durable

With a robust magnesium alloy bodyshell, the Axion 2 XQ35 Pro will easily withstand shocks, drops, moisture, heat, or cold, whilst the metal housing works as a heatsink to effectively dissipate any warmth emitted by the device’s internal electronics — minimising any image noise and increasing device operation consistency over long periods of observation. Its IPX7 waterproof rating protects against water ingress and ensures the device remains operational after immersion in 1m of water for up to 30 minutes.

Extended Battery Life

The Axion 2 XQ35 Pro’s APS 5 Li-ion battery pack will offer up to 11 hours of power before a recharge is needed (depending on temperature), making it perfect for prolonged periods of observation. Removing and replacing the battery is possible in only a matter of seconds due to the intuitive design, and recharging is as simple as placing the battery into its charging dock or plugging it directly into a PC or household power system via a USB-C cable.

8 Colour Palettes

This thermal imaging monocular features the choice of eight colour palettes, each of which provides the user with the ability more effectively observe their field of view, optimising the Axion 2 XQ35 Pro for specific tasks and allowing it to react to changing observation conditions.

For object detection, White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are most effective; Rainbow and Ultramarine is best for object recognition and identification; and Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are most suitable for long observation periods in darkness.

Built-In Video & Still Image Recorder

Capture once-in-a-lifetime moments with built-in video and still image recording capabilities. The Axion 2 XQ35 Pro’s internal memory is capable of storing hours of videos and tens of thousands of still images at just the touch of a button.

Footage is easily copied onto a computer using a USB-C cable, or, with the built-in Wi-Fi module and Stream Vision 2 connectivity, the user can easily view and share memorable moments of their observations straight from the cloud.

Stream Vision 2

Connecting the Axion 2 XQ35 Pro to the Stream Vision 2 mobile app will provide a variety of intuitive features and functionalities, including: using a mobile phone or tablet as a second screen, achieve remote control of digital functions, view and share videos and still images in an image gallery, remotely install all the latest firmware updates, and much more. What’s more, users will receive a generous 16GB of free cloud storage in which to keep their video recordings and still images. The app is available for Apple and Android devices on the Apple AppStore and the Google Play Store respectively.

Dual-Band Wi-Fi

The Axion 2 XQ35 Pro will complement the standard smartphone 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi frequency range with an effective 5 GHz connection range, vastly improving the bandwidth and connection stability, as well as providing a faster rate of data transfer and noise immunity, all for more a more reliable operation of thermal imager and smartphone.
